Our History

Scout Troop 356 is located in Boca Raton, Florida, in the Everglades District of the Gulfstream Council. The troop was started with just 4 Scouts in November of 2004. We are sponsored by the Spanish River Christian Church and meet most Tuesday Nights at 7 PM.

Scouts BSA is the largest scouting organization and one of the largest young organizations with over 2.3 Million members. Scouting strives to instill values such as trustworthiness, good citizenship, and outdoors skills, through a variety of activities such as camping, aquatics, and hiking. With fun, hands-on achievements and adventures, Scouts move at their own pace and go as far as they want to go. In order to earn Scouting’s highest rank, Eagles, Scouts must earn a minimum of 21 Merit Badges and complete a community project on their own before their 18th birthday.
